Requirements of the event

Camping guests and day visitors are picked up at pre-defined points on the camping grounds and car parks and taken to the festival site - and back again at night. Separate walking routes for guests and bus routes and take narrow roads into account when planning.

How do you prevent two articulated buses from meeting at a bottleneck?
There are sections of road around the Nürburgring that are too narrow for articulated buses travelling in two-way traffic. Routes are checked in advance for road widths and bottlenecks. Drivers on critical routes are equipped with radios and coordinate their actions before it becomes a problem.
Where do 24 articulated buses park between deployments?
Parking space for 24 articulated buses on a festival site does not just happen by itself. A suitable area in the immediate vicinity was organised in advance so that buses can be called up quickly and the cycle is not interrupted.
Can passengers always be transported standing up?
Yes in regular service, but not automatically in special transport. RELAY has applied in advance for route licences for festival routes so that passengers can also be transported standing up in articulated buses.
